Plique à Jour (French for "letting in daylight") is a challenging enamelling technique where the enamel is applied in cells with no backing in the final product. As a resullt, light can shine through the transparent or translucent enamel. It is in effect a miniature version of stained-glass and is considered time consuming, but worth the wait. In being a jewlery lover myself, I wanted to apply this beautiful artwork to wedding planning.
